FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. This is outside of my comfort zone. I’m not at my ideal weight. Can you still get good images of me?
A. Of course! The funny thing is all women ask the exact same question before their session. Whether you are a woman at 21, 30 or 50 or a woman size 0, 7, or 18, chances are you have never been in front of a pro’s camera before. I hope by looking at my portfolio that you’ll see beautiful pictures that will inspire you. You deserve a treasure for yourself, a work of fine art. Let me help bring it out in you.
Q. What if I want to do this but I am not comfortable with being photographed nude?
A. Well then you are in luck as nudity is NOT a requirement for Boudoir photo sessions. You will be in complete control the entire time; you choose what outfits you wear and you will be in complete control of how much skin you show. While the photographer will recommend poses to elevate your photos, you will always be in control of the poses you are photographed in. The goal is to make you look great but remain classy and comfortable.
Q. What is the price and what’s included?
A. I offer collections for any budget. There are some pre-set packages, but since each session is unique the price will depend on factors such as the amount of time shooting, the number of outfits, number of set changes, whether an album is included, etc. I am happy too work a price that fits your budget and will help you find the perfect package for you.
Q. Where do the sessions take place?
A. Sessions can take place anywhere you feel comfortable. Typically the client’s home is where they are most comfortable, but occasionally may not be the most logical place for a surprise session to be held therefore a hotel room or Airbnb can be used. We can help suggest AirBnB and studios if required.
Q. Can I meet with you before my session?
A. Yes! Absolutely, all sessions include a free consultation. We encourage this as it helps create trust and increase the level of comfort. Consultations can be in person or virtual (via video call).
Q. Will my session be private? And Can I Bring a Friend?
A. Yes our Boudoir photo sessions are private. While typically only the photographer is present during your photo session, it’s important for you to be comfortable therefore if having a friend there for support will allow you to be more comfortable then that’ll be fine. From past experience, we observe that our clients tend to relax more when no one else is present. Please be sure to discuss this with the photographer during your consultation session.
Q. Do you provide outfits or do I bring my own?
A. No, due to sanitary reasons, I am not able to provide outfits; you will need to bring your own outfits. Be sure to include accessories such as shoes, hats, ties, jewelry, garters, thigh highs/stockings, or other props such as cigars, maybe something that has special meaning to your partner (team jersey, favorite shirt, etc.). As part of the consultation, I would be more than happy to help you select outfits for the session.
Q. Do I Need Professional Hair & Makeup Styling?
A. While expert hair & make-up styling can help elevate the pictures it is not necessary. I prefer to provide my clients with a more natural look that you are comfortable in. If you feel you require expert hair & make-up we can discuss options. I do strongly recommend a mani/pedi as they will be definitely captured in your pictures.
Q. How long does it take for my photos to be ready?
A. Turnaround time of your images can vary. Depending on the package selected or season, proofs are typically made available within 7-14 days of the session. With some packages, I also offer same day viewing; where you will be able to select a few images for quick turnaround. I would recommend booking your session well in advance of whatever wedding, celebration, or special occasion you may be planning a gift for. Custom albums can take up to 8 weeks following your session. My custom designed albums are hand-crafted with your gorgeous photos and never rushed. My calendar generally books months in advance, so call to discuss scheduling your consultation and to explore available shoot dates.
Q. I do not want my images on social media or anywhere on the web, will my images be protected?
A. Client privacy is taken very seriously. We value our clients’ privacy and do not post or share images without expressed written permission. We will NEVER sell your images. All of your images will remain secure unless you give written permission for me to use them for promotional use.
Q. Do you offer Bridal Boudoir?
A. Yes we do indeed offer Bridal Boudoir services; in fact I offer all my wedding clients (brides) free mini Bridal Boudoir sessions with any Full Day wedding booking; makes for a great wedding surprise to the soon-to-be husband.
Q. Do you offer Maternity Boudoir?
A. Yes we do indeed offer Maternity Boudoir. All our Maternity Sessions can include a Boudoir component; the mother-to-be can request this at the time of her booking.
Q. Do you offer Couples Boudoir Sessions?
A. Yes we do indeed offer Couples Boudoir sessions. These can be a great way for a couple to maintain or add spark to their relationship. It can also be a great way to share the experience for someone who is a little apprehensive to do a shoot solo.
Q. Do you offer Boudoir Party Sessions?
A. Absolutely, yes we do offer Boudoir Party Sessions (great for Bachelorette and Divorce Parties or Girl’s Night Out events) as well. These are a lot of fun.
Q. Why don’t I see many galleries on your website? How can I see if I like your work?
A. That is an easy one to answer. As we mentioned before, we strongly value our clients’ privacy and only post images on our website when expressed written permission is given by the client. We also do have other clients who provide with written permission to show some of their images during client consultations, but do not want then publicly posted on our website.
